The Farmer and the Snake
Once upon a time, there was a kind-hearted farmer who lived in a small village. One cold winter day, he found a snake frozen with cold. Moved by pity, the farmer picked up the snake and placed it inside his coat to warm it. The snake was quickly revived and recovered its strength. However, as it warmed up, it regained its本性 and bit the farmer, causing him fatal harm. Before dying, the farmer said, "I should have known better. I should have left the snake to die in the cold." This story serves as a reminder that even the kindest of people should be cautious when dealing with those who have a tendency to deceive or harm others.
